Up for sale is a WWII period appropriate hair snood in a beautiful peacock/ teal. Made from an original 1942 pattern with the same cotton thread as originally called for. Sassy ruffles on top makes it easy to complete your vintage look and tame your tresses. This style works well for those with longer hair. It measures approximately 15" from the top of the head band to where it folds over on the bottom. Elastic in the headband allows for comfortable wear.
As a re-enactor, I strive for the highest authenticity in my appearance and do the same for my work. Many of these items come only from years of collecting patterns, finding the correct materials and learning the construction techniques.
