The pattern called for wool yarn so I have found a lovely blend of Merino Superwash that is soft and comfy to wear on top of looking beautiful and authentic. \u003cbr\u003e This is a soft white, between a bright and off-white. Although the directions instruct you to sew the bow directly to the snood, I felt this did not allow for easy washing. I have sewn my bow separately onto a hair comb which allows you to gently hand wash the snood without harming the ribbon. It also allows you to change the bows to coordinate with different outfits or wear without the snood altogether.
