"Open and Above Board"
Up for sale is a reproduction WWII era Bow Snood in red. Made from a 1943 dated pattern with the same cotton thread as originally called for. Accented with white and blue grosgrain ribbon bows sewn across the top strap. The strap has a button and loop closure for ease of wear and removal. This snood is somewhat of an architectural marvel because and really wears well. The construction of the strap allows it to sit perfectly on your head!
Length from top edge of snood to bottom where it folds over is approximately 6".
As a re-enactor, I strive for the highest authenticity in my appearance and do the same for my work. Many of these items come only from years of collecting patterns, finding the correct materials and learning the construction techniques.
